Overview
A hardy fuchsia of spreading habit. The slender stems sport small thin leaves producing a single flower of scarlet/violet through the summer. Can also be used as a bedding fuchsia.
Position: Requires a rich well drained soil with plenty of moisture during the growing season. Plant in full sun or partial shade where they can be treated as summer bedding or as a hardy shrub, in which case plant early in the season protect for the first winter with a thick mulch on surface but not directly around the stem.Â
Pruning: Prune hard back in spring (after the frosts have passed) to promote new growth.
