Overview
Elaeagnus umbellata’ Vasterival’ is an exceptionally free-fruiting and attractive clone from the late Princess Sturdza’s garden, grown here on our nursery. A large, deciduous bushy shrub reaching around 5m tall and wide, its leaves are narrowly oval with wavy edges, silvery when young before maturing to green but staying silvery beneath. Fragrant creamy-yellow flowers are borne in small clusters from late spring until early summer are then followed by edible silvery fruit that ripen to red.

Give it a position in full sun and a well-drained soil and allow it plenty of space to develop.
