Overview
Evergreen, medium-sized shrub. Highly fragrant with dark purplish-pink and pale pink flowers in late winter, followed by black berries. It makes a tall slender plant that can be lightly pruned to shape in late spring and staked as it matures. Very similar to and a good substitute for Daphne bholua ‘Jacqueline Postill’.
A sheltered position is essential with protection from wind and hot sun. Give it a good deep, moist but free-draining soil and low nutrient levels.
