Dahlia Bishop of Llandaff is a real beauty and an old favourite, well-deserving of its RHS Award of Garden Merit. It produces a long succession of semi-double, brightest red blooms with golden stamens. The deeply divided, dark bronze-red foliage is an added bonus. Perfect for the border and for cut flowers.

  • Choose an open sunny site sheltered from wind and a free-draining soil.
  • Give the plant plenty of support with canes.
  • Keep picking the flowers for the house to ensure a long succession of flowers.

    • If you wish to keep the plant for the following year:

    • As soon as the first severe frost of late Autumn has cut back the foliage, lift the plant, dry off and overwinter frost free undercover.
