Overview
A superb winter flowering deciduous large shrub or small tree. Dark green leaves turning reddish purple in autumn. Resembles the closely related Cornus mas but coarser growing with a flaking chocolate bark. Yellow flowers are produced in profusion during the late winter months, followed by bright red edible fruits.
