Large garden-worthy showy purple flowers with long outer florets in midsummer. Attractive large flower buds before the flowers open. Excellent nectar source for butterflies and long tongued bees and seeds in late summer for Goldfinches. Grassland native excellent for wildlife gardens.

All wildflowers are grown from seed on site. Seed is collected from the Wildlife Meadow here at Ashwood Nurseries when possible or from British suppliers.

Wildflowers are best planted in the spring or autumn when possible but can be planted in the summer if water can be provided.
