A native perennial with striking clusters of violet, bell-shaped flowers from June to October. Visited by bees and pollinating insects. Prefers alkaline to neutral well drained soil.

All wildflowers are grown from seed on site. Seed is collected from the Wildlife Meadow here at Ashwood Nurseries when possible or from British suppliers.
Wildflowers are best planted in the spring or autumn when possible but can be planted in the summer if water can be provided.
