An early fruiting variety, producing crops of fruit in June and July. Used for cooking or eating. Requires moist to damp rich acid soil in a sunny position. Bright scarlet and orange autumn tints.

Little pruning is required, however any dead wood should be removed and after some years the very old wood should be removed. Requires ericaceous soil. Can be grown in containers using peat based ericaceous compost.
