Overview

This is a short bushy herbaceous perennial, a great favourite of ours at Ashwood, producing masses of rich violet blue daisy-like flowers with a yellow centre from late summer to early autumn. Unlike some asters, it rarely suffers from mildew and is ideal for any well drained soil in a sunny border.

Prefers a fertile, well-drained soil in sun or light shade. Divide every 3-5 years to maintain vigour.
