Overview
A small wide topped evergreen tree or shrub with cinnamon coloured fibrous bark. Glossy dark green leaves. Noted for its distinctive pink flowers hanging in clusters alongside the reddish strawberry like fruits in Autumn. Tolerates most well drained soils in full sun or partial shade.

Position: Tolerates most well-drained humius-rich soils and will grow in slightly acidic soils. Give it a warm, sunny sheltered position, avoiding windy sites and frost pockets.
Pruning: No regular pruning is necessary but damaged branches can be removed.
