A lovely small bushy acer with brilliant scarlet young foliage, gradually turning green by mid-summer. Particularly good Autumn  colours. Requires like all Japanese Maples a moist acid but well drained soil in partial shade in a position sheltered from strong winds.

Position: Requires a rich moist humus rich but well drained soil in a position sheltered from sun and strong winds.

Pruning: Little or no pruning required.
