Lawn Care
Avoid walking on turf unless it is necessary and soil conditions permit. Keep the lawn aerated, free of dead thatch, falling leaves and debris. During mild dry conditions, a light topping with a lightweight mower may be desirable, allowing the dew to dry before cutting the lawn and collecting any trimmings. Brush off worm casts before mowing the lawn.
If not previously carried out, the lawn may be top-dressed with a mixture of loam, peat and sand. Watch out for problem spots such as waterlogged or wet areas as well as areas of excess moss. These can be spiking or, in severe cases, you may need to consider installing drains. Check all electrical parts on electric mowers, seeking help from qualified experts where needed.
