Conifers

Ashwood  Nurseries has specialised in conifers for over 50 years, and we know of no other garden centre in the UK that offers such a comprehensive selection of conifers. We have a particular speciality in dwarf and slow growing varieties, many of which are rare or ‘hard to find’. A good many of our conifers are grown here on the the nursery but we also buy from some of the best wholesale specialist growers in the UK and Holland.

We are passionate about the use of conifers in the garden and believe there is a conifer to suit every garden, no matter how small. They are indispensable for providing form, structure, colour and interest all year round. If chosen carefully they can be just as effective in a modern setting as in a more traditional scheme.

You can also stroll through our nursery borders to see our wonderful collection of mature conifers. If you are able to visit on John’s  Garden open days you will see how the nursery owner John Massey has used conifers in his own private garden to stunning effect.
