John’s Garden Special Open Day in aid of High Flyers

John's Garden is open for this extra special event in aid of High Flyers

Nursery owner John Massey will open his garden for an extra special day in aid of another fantastic local charity, High Flyers.

High Flyers is a registered charity who operate a daytime group for young adults with learning disabilities based in Wombourne, South Staffordshire, running Monday – Friday. They are dedicated to being a user lead group and aim to support every member to reach their full potential.

As an extra special treat the choir from High Flyers will be performing in the garden during the event between 10:30am and 12:30pm.

A garden for every day of the year

John’s Garden’ is a wonderful eight acre private garden created by nursery owner John Massey VMH. Informal borders, island beds, woodland dells and a wildlife garden are set against the beautiful backdrop of the Staffordshire and Worcestershire Canal. Regarded as one of the finest private small gardens in the UK, it is a ‘plantsman’s garden’ that has an abundance of rare plants as well as many familiar favourites.

Essential Information

  • TUESDAY 12th MAY 
  • 10am-3pm (last entrance)
  • Tickets are available to buy on the day at the garden entrance (cash payment preferred)
  • Pre-booking is not required
  • Garden Admission: £8 per person (All proceeds will be donated to High Flyers)
  • Children under 12 are allowed free of charge.

Additional Information

  • The owner John Massey and one of his team of gardeners, will be in the garden to answer any questions you may have.
  • A delicious selection of freshly prepared food and drinks are available to purchase from the tea room  more
  • We are sorry but picnics are not allowed in the garden.
  • We regret that dogs are not allowed in John’s Garden.
  • Toilet facilities are available adjacent to the gift shop.
  • Sensible shoes are essential in damp conditions.
  • John’s Garden is open on Saturdays throughout the year, more dates
