John’s Garden NGS April Open Day
This special Easter Sunday Open Day is supporting the National Gardens Scheme. Come and enjoy the magical atmosphere of John’s Garden in early Spring, with its superb collections of Spring flowering subjects including fine displays of tulips, narcissi, erythroniums, trilliums and snakeshead fritillaries. The rock garden will be full of interest with many choice and rare treasures to be enjoyed while the Anemone pavonina meadow is truly a sight not to be missed. There is a fine tree collection and the Crab Apple walk should be coming into flower.
About John’s Garden
‘John’s Garden’ at Ashwood Nurseries is a wonderful three acre private garden created by nursery owner John Massey VMH. Informal borders, island beds, woodland dells, a fern stumpery and wildlife meadow* are set against the beautiful backdrop of the Staffordshire and Worcestershire Canal. It is a ‘plantsman’s garden’ that has an abundance of rare plants as well as many familiar favourites.

ENTRANCE CHARGE: £8.00 donated to The National Garden Scheme

- Dogs: we are very sorry but dogs and picnics are not permitted in John’s Garden.
- Delicious refreshments are available in the Tea Room.
