(Mg) A macronutrient. Magnesium is vital for photosynthesis as it is a component of the chlorophyll in all green plants. It helps trigger many plant enzymes required for growth. It is found in soil minerals, organic material, fertilizers, and dolomitic limestone.
Referring to the structure of a form of Hydrangea macrophylla flower. Hydrangeas hold their flowers in a branched inflorescence called a panicle. Mophead flower panicles are formed almost entirely of large sterile florets, forming a large dome.
