Processing and despatching your order
Delivery
We endeavour to pack and despatch your order as soon as possible after receiving it. Most orders are delivered to you within 3-7 working days of receipt of your order, but very occasionally it may take up to 10 working days from receipt to delivery.
You will receive a shipping notification by email (unless your order has been amended in any way).
If you have provided an email address the courier will notify you of a delivery date and approximate delivery time.
Please be assured that we aim to keep our delivery charges to a minimum, so that we remain competitive while providing the exemplary service that you expect.
Please note that we no longer send out seed.
Delivery charges
- Delivery Charge:
- England and Wales Mainland from £7.50
- ULEZ postcodes (Ultra Low Emission Zone London) from £8.50
- Despatch Service: Courier
- We use a postcode checker to verify your location.
- Expect your order 1-3 working days after we despatch.
We also charge a ‘large plant’ surcharge for trees and large shrubs (service available on the UK mainland only). Please contact us for a quotation.
- Delivery Charge:
- Scottish Mainland from £8.50
- Scottish Borders, Remote Scottish Mainland and Scottish Offshore from £20
- Despatch Service: Courier
- We use a postcode checker to verify your location.
- Expect your order 2-7 working days after we despatch, depending on your location.
- Delivery Charge:
- Isles of Scilly and Isle of Wight from £20.00
- Despatch Service: Courier

- Expect your order 1-3 working days after we despatch.
We regret that we do not send our plants to Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man, the EU or overseas.
Exclusive Ashwood Gift Voucher only orders are sent out by Royal Mail: £1.99 delivery charge per order to England, Wales, Scotland and UK offshore destinations.
A combined order, e.g. a mix of plants and vouchers, will be sent by courier and incur the relevant highest delivery charge (as outlined during the checkout process).
Christmas Delivery: Please order gift vouchers early for Christmas delivery as we cannot be held responsible for service delays which are beyond our control.
Giftware and Garden Sundries:
- Delivery Charge: from £7.50 to £20.00 depending on size/weight. (A combined order of plants/small gifts/gardening sundries will be sent out by courier and incur the relevant highest delivery charge as outlined above.)
