A medium growing plant freely producing lovely blue flowers on acid soil or pink on neutral soil. It can flower on new wood as well as old wood making it suitable for cooler areas where terminal buds are often lost to frost damage.

Position: They perform best when given a shady, cool moist root run and a sheltered aspect. For the best blue blooms plant in acid soil and encorporate hydrangea colourant.

Maintenance: Little pruning required just simply thin out old stems and remove the dead flowers to a pair of plump green buds in late spring.
