Trachelospermum is best grown against a very warm, sunny South- or West-facing wall or fence protected from severe frosts on a free-draining fertile soil. Give it a strong framework to grow on and initially tie in the shoots as they grow. It can be lightly pruned after flowering if required. Frost-damaged shoots can be pruned out in late Spring.
