This selection of Davidia involucrata develops into a medium-sized tree which produces flowers sooner than its parent.  Large white bracts produced in May, resembling pocket handkerchiefs, give the tree its common name.  Large, heart-shaped leaves with felted undersides take on good autumn colour accompanied by purple berries.  Orange-brown peeling bark makes an additional feature to this attractive tree.
