Amelanchier lamarckii is a small deciduous tree or large shrub of open habit producing a profusion of small white spring flowers in lax racemes.  Young foliage emerges bronze becoming green in summer.  Purple-red fruits are produced and are attractive to birds.  Autumn foliage develops rich tones of orange and red.

Position: Suitable for moist but well-drained lime free soil in full sun or light shade.
