This special Sunday opening is supporting the National Trust’s Kinver Edge Centenary.
John’s Garden in early July sees a colourful display of grasses, herbaceous perennials, daphnes, clematis and some early hydrangeas in flower. The tropical border will be full of dramatic foliage and exotic hot colours while the kniphofias, agapanthus, eucomis and diascias will be blooming in the South African border.
The ruin garden on the patio is a unique feature and well worth a look while the new stump garden , planted with a stunning collection of ferns, is a dramatic new addition. As always, there will be some wonderful summer pots throughout the garden.
‘John’s Garden’ at Ashwood Nurseries is a wonderful three acre private garden created by nursery owner John Massey VMH. Informal borders, island beds and woodland dells are set against the beautiful backdrop of the Staffordshire and Worcestershire Canal. This is a garden for all seasons with magnificent collections of trees, shrubs, conifers and herbaceous perennials adding to the interest all year round.
