John Massey to lecture at Stourton Village Hall
Nursery owner John Massey is to give a superbly illustrated lecture ‘Autumn into Winter’ on Friday November 28th 7.30pm at Stourton Village Hall near Stourbridge, West Midlands.
John will discuss how to create a garden that is full of colour and interest from autumn to winter, exploring the range of plants that he uses to produce a rich palette of colours in autumn, ranging from the gold, scarlet, orange and purple of foliage, fruit and berries through to the silvers and bronzes of grasses. He also looks at the diversity of flowering plants such as cyclamen, colchicums, hydrangeas and salvias as well as many of the herbaceous plants which can be relied upon to flower well into the autumn.
As the season moves into winter, John covers a host of winter flowering subjects that include hamamelis, snowdrops and cyclamen as well as Ashwood Nurseries’ world-renowned hellebores, together with a remarkable range of trees, shrubs and conifers for stem, bark, foliage or architectural effect.
A wonderful evening interspersed with John’s amusing anecdotes, poetry and music….definitely not to be missed!
